Director Prem Gears Up for KD Release, Plans Grand Bollywood Debut

Kannada filmmaker Prem, best known for his larger-than-life storytelling, is currently awaiting the release of his ambitious Pan-India project KD, featuring Dhruva Sarja, Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, and Sudeep, along with Bollywood stars Sanjay Dutt and Shilpa Shetty. Produced by KVN Productions, the film has faced unexplained delays, leaving fans curious.

Prem recently performed a script pooja at Mahakaleshwar Temple, calling KD “one of my biggest dreams.” While assuring that a release date will be announced soon, he hinted that the film may not hit theatres this year as the team waits for the right window.

Meanwhile, the director has been quietly developing another ambitious script — this time for Bollywood. Sources reveal that Prem is in discussions with actor Ajay Devgn and a few major production houses. “The response from Bollywood has been very encouraging. I want to enter with a strong, content-driven story,” Prem shared.

Balancing his creative energies, Prem is also working on a fresh Kannada project to cater to his home audience. Addressing speculation about a future film with Darshan, he said, “Whenever he is free from his legal issues, I will direct a film for him. He’s like family.”
