The release date of actor Dhruva Sarja’s sixth film KD – The Devil, directed by Prem, has been officially confirmed for April 30. After KVN Productions’ films Jana Nayagan and Toxic were postponed, there was speculation on social media about the fate of KD, which is also produced by the same banner. Amid this, the team has announced the release of a new song. The fourth song from the film will be released on March 14, and the poster confirms the film’s theatrical release on April 30.
The film was launched with a muhurat ceremony in April 2022, and its title was officially announced in October the same year when the shooting began. Over time, the makers introduced the cast and released songs such as Shiva Shiva, Set Agalla, and Anthamma Jodettu Kano. A teaser was released in July 2025, and the team initially planned a theatrical release in October last year, as announced by producer K. Venkat Narayana, but the film was later postponed.
KD – The Devil marks director Prem’s pan-India project after Ek Love Ya. The film is based on a real-life gangster story set in the 1970–75 period. The title KD stands for Kalidas. Reeshma Nanaiah plays the female lead, while the ensemble cast includes Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, and Nora Fatehi.
