Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has released the trailer of The Bengal Files on August 16, marking Direct Action Day. The film, starring Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, and Saswata Chatterjee, delves into the violent political past of West Bengal and portrays what the makers describe as the “buried story of Hindu genocide” following Partition. Dialogues from the trailer highlight Bengal’s role as the “lighthouse of Bharat” while exposing deep communal divides.
