Suniel Shetty Faces Off with Jackie Shroff in High-Octane Sequel ‘Hunter 2’

Suniel Shetty steps back into the gritty shoes of Vikram Sinha, a suspended special investigations officer, in the action-packed second season of Hunter – Tootega Nahi Todega. This time, Vikram’s mission is personal—he must rescue his missing daughter, plunging him into a world of danger and emotional turmoil.

Describing one of the season’s most poignant scenes, Suniel shared, “There’s a moment when Vikram enters a club, sees a bag that could belong to his daughter, and something within him just shatters. That moment tore me apart emotionally.” The actor said that capturing Vikram’s pain was deeply personal, especially as a father himself. “Revenge becomes more intense when it’s about your family,” he added. “I’ve always loved action, but when it’s layered with emotion—it hits differently.”

In Hunter 2, Suniel goes head-to-head with Jackie Shroff, bringing dramatic tension and cinematic heft to their confrontations. Joining them are Anusha Dandekar, Barkha Bisht, Anang Desai, Pramod Pathak, and Mazel Vyas, each contributing powerful performances that heighten the stakes of the narrative.

Speaking about working with Jackie, Suniel noted, “People have always looked up to Jaggu Dada. I’ve admired him for years. Filming action scenes opposite him was a challenge—I had to set aside our personal rapport and fully commit to the story.” He praised Jackie as a “brilliant natural actor” with an unmatched voice, aura, and screen presence. “It takes a lot to match his energy, but when you’re working with the best, it brings out your best too,” Suniel concluded.

Hunter 2 continues to raise the bar for Indian action thrillers by fusing adrenaline-pumping sequences with raw, emotional storytelling.
