Saif Ali Khan Hunts Truth Amid Chaos in Netflix Thriller Kartavya

The trailer of Kartavya, starring Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Mishra, and Rasika Dugal, was unveiled on Thursday, offering a glimpse into a tense investigative thriller packed with moral conflict and political intrigue. Directed by Pulkit, known for Bhakshak, the Netflix film is set in the fictional North Indian town of Jhamli.

The story follows Pawan, played by Saif Ali Khan, a police officer who finds himself under severe pressure after failing to protect a journalist who is murdered while under police watch. As scrutiny intensifies from both the system and the public, Pawan is forced into a relentless investigation that uncovers a dangerous network of influence, corruption, and manipulation.

The trailer also hints at personal turmoil in Pawan’s life, as threats against his family begin to escalate over issues linked to his brother. Manish Chaudhary appears as his intimidating superior officer, while Sanjay Mishra plays his trusted professional partner. Journalist-turned-actor Saurabh Dwivedi takes on a strikingly dark role as a manipulative godman, adding another layer of tension to the narrative. Rasika Dugal portrays Pawan’s supportive wife.

Speaking about the role, Saif Ali Khan described Pawan as a man constantly caught between duty, morality, and personal sacrifice. He added that the film explores difficult questions without offering simple answers, placing its characters in emotionally and ethically challenging situations.

With its mix of crime, politics, and emotional conflict, Kartavya promises an intense and layered thriller experience on Netflix.

The film is scheduled to release on Netflix on May 15.
