Priyanka Chopra Jonas Returns to Indian Cinema as Mandakini in SS Rajamouli–Mahesh Babu’s Epic SSMB29

The excitement around SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated film, tentatively titled SSMB29, is intensifying with a major reveal — Priyanka Chopra Jonas has joined the cast as Mandakini.

A newly released poster shows Priyanka in a striking yellow saree, caught in the middle of an intense gunfight, hinting at her character’s bold and action-packed arc. While the film’s genre remains under wraps, recent teasers suggest a thrilling blend of action and sci-fi. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s character poster, featuring him as Kumbha, a quadriplegic antagonist with cybernetic arms, adds to the mystery.

SSMB29 marks Priyanka Chopra’s return to Indian cinema after 2019’s The Sky is Pink* and her Telugu debut. The film also stars Mahesh Babu in a lead role, with music by MM Keeravani. A single from the film titled Globetrotter, sung by Shruti Haasan, has already been released.
