NTR Jr vs Hrithik Roshan: Explosive Teaser of War 2 Unveiled on NTR's Birthday

On the occasion of NTR Jr’s birthday, Yash Raj Films dropped the much-awaited teaser of War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. The teaser introduces Telugu superstar Jr NTR to Bollywood, where he stars opposite Hrithik Roshan in a high-voltage action thriller that spans across continents. The film also features Kiara Advani and is slated for release on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as RAW agent Major Kabir Dhaliwal, while NTR Jr plays the formidable new protagonist. In the teaser, NTR's voiceover sets the tone for a riveting clash as he refers to Kabir as "India’s best soldier" while warning him: “You don’t know me, but you will soon know me.” This ominous line sets the stage for an epic showdown between the two leads.

The teaser features jaw-dropping action sequences, with scenes shot in exotic locations including Italy, Spain, Japan, Abu Dhabi, Russia, and Mumbai. Kiara Advani also makes a brief appearance, hinting at a romantic subplot involving Kabir.

Hrithik shared the teaser on social media with a fierce message to his co-star: “And so it begins, @tarak9999. Be prepared, there is no place for mercy. Welcome to Hell. Love, Kabir.”

War 2 is the sixth installment in YRF’s expanding Spy Universe, following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. The studio is also gearing up for Alpha, featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. While there’s speculation about surprise cameos from other YRF spies, the studio remains tight-lipped.

With NTR Jr’s grand Hindi debut, Hrithik Roshan’s returning firepower, and Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious direction, War 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic events of 2025.
