Kriti Sanon and Dhanush’s much-awaited romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein nears completion, with the final leg of shooting underway in Mumbai. Directed by Aanand L Rai and rooted in the emotional universe of Raanjhanaa, the film is set for a 2025 theatrical release and features music by A.R. Rahman.

Kriti Sanon is close to wrapping up the final schedule of Tere Ishk Mein, her upcoming romantic drama co-starring Dhanush and helmed by acclaimed director Aanand L Rai. Following extensive shoots in Delhi and Varanasi, the production has now shifted to Mumbai for its concluding phase, with the film eyeing a theatrical release in 2025.

Originally delayed due to scheduling conflicts on Dhanush’s end, Tere Ishk Mein is now progressing at full steam. According to sources close to the film, Kriti has poured herself into this role, marking a milestone in her career. “This journey has been emotionally and physically demanding for her. She’s brought a never-seen-before intensity to her character,” a source told News18.

Kriti, who previously bagged the National Award for Best Actress, is reportedly delivering a performance that is both layered and transformative. Her pairing with Dhanush—renowned for his emotionally charged roles—is already building anticipation among fans and cinephiles alike.

Earlier this year, a haunting teaser featuring Kriti’s mysterious character, accompanied by an evocative score, offered a glimpse into the emotional depth of the narrative. The film’s soundtrack is composed by none other than A.R. Rahman, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil—adding further gravitas to the project.

‘Tere Ishk Mein’ draws thematic inspiration from Aanand L Rai’s 2013 cult hit Raanjhanaa, but is described as a more evolved take on love, heartbreak, and longing. Co-written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav, the film promises a poetic yet raw emotional journey. Rai himself has called it a “deeply personal” film that blends tragic romance with unfiltered passion.

As Tere Ishk Mein heads into post-production, Kriti is set to begin work on R Balki’s next project, while Dhanush will shift focus back to his Tamil ventures, including Kuberaa and Idly Kadai.

With the final stretch underway, the stage is set for Tere Ishk Mein to become one of 2025’s most poignant cinematic offerings.
