Jolly LLB 3 Makes Its OTT Debut on Netflix After Strong Theatrical Run

Nearly two months after hitting theatres, Jolly LLB 3 starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi has officially landed on Netflix. The third chapter in the popular legal-comedy franchise opened to enthusiastic reviews from both critics and audiences when it released on September 19, alongside Anurag Kashyap’s Nishaanchi. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film brings back all key characters—Akshay, Arshad, Saurabh Shukla, Seema Biswas, Amrita Rao and Huma Qureshi—reviving the chaotic, humorous world of the Jollys.

The Cinema Express review notes that this instalment is the franchise’s most urgent and thought-provoking, weaving in contemporary themes seen rarely in mainstream cinema. References to protesting farmers marching to Delhi, a “VM” hiding in London, and conversations around India as a “fastest-growing economy” or “superpower” appear throughout the narrative. The story draws inspiration from the 2011 farmers’ agitation in Uttar Pradesh, particularly the struggles in the villages of Bhatta and Parsaul against corporate land acquisition.

The film is produced by Alok Jain and Ajit Andhare, with Naren Kumar and Dimple Kharbanda serving as co-producers.
