Hrithik Roshan to Direct and Star in ‘Krrish 4’; Priyanka Chopra Returns After 19 Years

Hrithik Roshan is all set to step into the director’s chair for Krrish 4, marking his much-anticipated directorial debut. The fourth installment of the beloved superhero franchise will go on floors early next year. Hrithik, who played the lead in the previous films, will once again don the cape as Krrish, while also steering the project behind the camera—taking over from his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan.

Speculation has been swirling around the film’s female cast, with some reports suggesting the return of Rekha, Preity Zinta, and Priyanka Chopra. However, a source close to the film confirmed to Bombay Times that while Priyanka Chopra is indeed making a comeback to the franchise after 19 years since her role in Krrish (2006), Preity Zinta’s involvement is purely speculative and not true. There is a strong possibility that Rekha may appear in a cameo, though it hasn't been confirmed. The source also hinted that another prominent actress will feature alongside Priyanka, but her name remains under wraps for now.

Krrish 4 will take a bold narrative leap, with the story set decades after the events of Krrish 3 (2013). In an earlier interaction, Rakesh Roshan expressed confidence in Hrithik’s creative vision, saying, “Now is the right time for Hrithik to move ahead and take Krrish forward. Krrish is ingrained in Hrithik, and his vision is of today’s generation. I could not entrust the franchise to a more able creative mind.”

With Hrithik leading both the performance and the direction, and Priyanka Chopra returning after nearly two decades, Krrish 4 is shaping up to be a nostalgic yet forward-looking chapter in one of India’s most iconic superhero sagas.
