Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr’s Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 releases April 24; first poster hints at a wedding with a twist.
The makers of Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 have unveiled the film’s first poster along with its theatrical release date. Starring Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr in the lead roles, the romantic comedy is set to hit cinemas on April 24. The sequel has been written and directed by Prasshant Jha.
The vibrant poster features Avinash in the avatar of a wrestler performing push-ups, with Medha perched playfully on his back — hinting at a quirky dynamic between the two. Sharing the poster, the makers captioned it: “Ginny and Sunny are Back! Rishta fixed hai bas iss bar thoda sa Twist hai!” suggesting that while the wedding may be set, unexpected turns await.
The original Ginny Weds Sunny, released in 2020, starred Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey in a light-hearted rom-com directed by Puneet Khanna and written by Navjot Gulati along with Sumit Arora.
The sequel brings a fresh pairing with Avinash and Medha, supported by a seasoned ensemble cast including Lillete Dubey, Sudhir Pandey, Govind Namdev, Gopi Bhalla, Nayani Dixit, Vishwanath Chatterjee, and Rohit Chaudhary.
Presented by Zee Studios and Soundrya Production, Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 is produced by Vinod Bachchan and Umesh Kumar Bansal. With a new twist to the wedding tale, the film promises laughter, romance, and drama when it arrives in theatres this April.
