Ek Din Opens Slow at Box Office Despite Sai Pallavi’s Strong Debut

Amid a crowded release week featuring films like Kara and Patriot, Ek Din, starring Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan, has opened to a modest response at the box office. Directed by Sunil Pandey, the film marks Junaid’s third outing after Maharaj and Loveyapa.

While the film has received mixed reviews from critics, Sai Pallavi’s performance has been widely appreciated. The project also holds significance as her debut in Hindi cinema. Aamir Khan, Junaid’s father, attended a pre-release screening and reportedly had an emotional reaction to the film.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Ek Din collected approximately ₹1.37 crore in India on its opening day, indicating a slow start at the box office.

The story revolves around Dinesh, played by Junaid Khan, who struggles to confess his feelings to Meera, portrayed by Sai Pallavi. During a trip to Japan, he gets a unique chance to spend a day with her, leading to a heartfelt exploration of love and self-discovery.

Ek Din is an official remake of the Thai film One Day (2016), adapting its emotional premise for an Indian audience.
