Farhan Akhtar transforms into Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh in ‘120 Bahadur,’ a gripping war drama based on the 1962 Battle of Rezang La. The teaser unveils a stirring tale of 120 Indian soldiers who valiantly fought 3,000 Chinese troops in freezing temperatures, refusing to retreat or surrender.

Farhan Akhtar is back on the big screen, not just behind the camera but leading from the front as a real-life war hero in the upcoming film ‘120 Bahadur.’ After previously directing Hrithik Roshan in the acclaimed war drama Lakshya, Farhan now steps into the shoes of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh Bhati of the Kumaon Regiment, who heroically led Indian soldiers during the legendary Battle of Rezang La in the 1962 Indo-China War.

The teaser, unveiled recently, opens with a compelling scene where a wounded soldier is being interrogated in a hospital about what transpired at Rezang La. What follows is a cinematic depiction of one of India’s most heroic last stands — where 120 Indian soldiers held their ground against 3,000 Chinese troops in brutally cold conditions, with temperatures plunging below –24°C.

Farhan’s portrayal of Major Shaitan Singh is intense and inspiring. He is seen rallying his men with the gravity and clarity of a true leader. In one powerful moment, he asserts, “Wearing this uniform isn’t just about pride, it’s about sacrifice,” underlining the weight of responsibility and honour that comes with serving in the Indian Army.

The teaser culminates in heart-pounding visuals of the climactic battle, filled with artillery fire, hand-to-hand combat, and the raw courage of soldiers who refuse to back down. Major Shaitan Singh’s declaration, “Mujh peechhe hatena manzoor nahi hai” (I will not retreat), sets the emotional tone of this patriotic war epic.

Directed by a passionate team and backed by authentic war detailing, 120 Bahadur promises a tribute to the soldiers whose bravery in Rezang La became a symbol of India’s indomitable spirit. The film is shaping up to be a cinematic salute to courage, brotherhood, and ultimate sacrifice.
