Zootopia 2 Locks OTT Premiere on JioHotstar

The blockbuster animated film Zootopia 2 is set to make its digital debut soon. The film will begin streaming on JioHotstar from March 13, following a hugely successful theatrical run.

Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, the film serves as the sequel to the widely loved Zootopia. Released in theatres in November 2025, the sequel quickly turned into a global phenomenon.

The film grossed over $1.8 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film in the history of Walt Disney Animation Studios. It also ranked as the second-highest-grossing film of 2025 and the ninth-highest-grossing film of all time.

In the sequel, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are now official partners in the Zootopia Police Department. During an investigation into a smuggling ring, they discover that a snake named Gary De’Snake, voiced by Ke Huy Quan, may be behind the operation. As they follow the trail, the duo uncovers a much larger threat involving a powerful lynx family planning to expand their control over Tundratown.

The film sees the return of voice actors Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman as Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. Several stars from the first film also reprise their roles, including Idris Elba, Shakira, Alan Tudyk, Nate Torrence, Don Lake, Bonnie Hunt and Jenny Slate.

New additions to the voice cast include Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson and Danny Trejo.

The film has also earned major recognition during awards season, including nominations at the Golden Globe Awards and the upcoming Academy Awards in the Best Animated Feature category.
