Akshay Kumar to pair opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in Karan Johar’s next?

Akshay and Kareena have previously worked together in films like Aitraaz, Bewafaa, Talaash: The Hunt Begins, Tashan, Ajnabee, Dosti and many more.
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently basking in the success of her latest release Veere Di Wedding at the box office. The 37-year old actress, who signs very selective films has apparently come on board as the lead actress Karan Johar’s next production which will be directed by debutante Raj Mehta. Reportedly, the actress will portray the character of a single mother in the film.
As per a source,
"Kareena Kapoor Khan will romance none other than our Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar in the movie. The makers have roped in Akshay Kumar to play the male lead. The story is about two couples and they were looking for a senior actor opposite Bebo. Akshay was their first choice and he loved the script. He discussed the film with Karan, and the modalities were worked out immediately."
The source further added,
“When Karan told Bebo they were casting Akshay opposite her, she was extremely happy. Both of them have been great friends and their reunion on screen was only a matter of time.” The film is expected to go on floors in November after Akshay wraps up Sajid Khan’s Housefull 4. “Bebo also wanted a few months break in between to spend some time with her son Taimur. So, the team has worked out everything already.”
On the work front, Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for Kesari, while he’ll be next seen in Reema Kagti’s Gold, which is scheduled to hit the screens on August 15 during the Independence day weekend.
