III Smoking Barrels is a Hindi Action Movie Directed by Sanjib Dey. The only part that made a little sense and gave somewhat of a blurry insight into the lives of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants of the North-East, was Subrat Dutta’s portrayal of Mukhtar. ‘III Smoking Barrels’ tries, but fails to depict the territory in its entirety or even do justice to the issues North-East is grappling with. If director and writer Sanjib Dey would’ve scored a stiff joint while executing this one, III Smoking Barrels would’ve possibly been a bit more imaginative. But sadly, the film fails to rise above clichés and the maker seems more obsessed with technique and treatment than the cumulative effect it would have on the viewer. Read full review
