Bio:

Captain Raju, hailing from Pathanamthitta District, Kerala, was a celebrated Malayalam actor renowned for his versatility in character and villainous roles. With a career spanning multiple industries, he also made his mark in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and English films. Raju debuted in 1981 with the Malayalam film Raktham and became a prominent figure with notable performances in films such as Nadodikkattu (1987), August 1 (1988), Simon Peter Ninakku Vendi (1988), Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha (1989), Chakravarthy (1991), My Dear Karady (1999), War & Love (2003), and Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja (2009).

In 1997, he ventured into direction with the Malayalam film Itha Oru Snehagatha. Beyond cinema, Captain Raju showcased his talents on television, appearing in serials like Nizhalukal (Asianet), Unniyarcha (Asianet), Crime Branch (Kairali TV), Vallarpadathamma (Shalom), and hosting the quiz show Airtel Challenge on Jeevan TV.

Raju's later works include Chodhyam (2017), directed by G. S. Vijayan, and the 2019 release Valiyaperunnal. His legacy as a versatile actor and storyteller continues to be remembered fondly in Indian cinema.
