Pushpa 2: The Rule Postponed to December 6, 2024, Confirms Allu Arjun

Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, was initially scheduled for release on August 15. Recently, rumors about a delay have been circulating, and now Allu Arjun has officially confirmed the postponement.

On Monday evening, Arjun shared a new poster of the film on his X handle, depicting him as Pushpa Raj in a threatening pose with a sword. He captioned it, “#Pushpa2TheRule in cinemas from December 6th, 2024.”

This delay comes amidst a crowded August 15 release window, which initially included Rohit Shetty's Singham Again and Nikkhil Advani's Vedaa. Additional films like Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and Puri Jagannadh’s Double iSmart further intensified competition. Jio Studios later rescheduled Singham Again to Diwali, filling the August slot with Stree 2 instead.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, which featured Allu Arjun as the anti-hero Pushpa Raj, Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, and introduced Fahadh Faasil. The original film, directed by Sukumar, depicted power struggles over red sandalwood smuggling, earning Allu Arjun a National Film Award for his performance.
