Sagar Puranik's film "Dollu," featuring reality show-winner Karthik Mahesh, has been selected to be showcased at the Indian Film Festival in Mexico, alongside other notable Indian films like "RRR," "Bajirao Mastani," "Soorarai Pottru," and "Tanhaji."

This recognition has brought immense pride to Puranik, who views it as an opportunity to share a glimpse of Indian culture with a global audience.

Expressing his delight, Puranik emphasized the significance of films as a medium to showcase cultural diversity and heritage, noting that "Dollu" has already been well-received internationally, having previously premiered in Boston, USA, and traveled to various film festivals worldwide.

The film, set in a rural backdrop, revolves around a young Dollu Kunitha performer's journey to revive a fading art form. Its portrayal of indigenous culture and struggles has earned it accolades, including two awards at the 68th National Film Awards for Best Feature Film in Kannada and Best Audiography.
