Kangana Ranaut, the actor and BJP candidate for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, expressed her gratitude to the people of Mandi for their support as she filed her nomination alongside her mother, Asha Ranaut, and sister, Rangoli Chandel.

Dressed in a traditional green saree and a Himachali cap, Kangana acknowledged the love and encouragement she received from the residents of Mandi, attributing it to her decision to enter the political arena.

Following the nomination filing, Kangana emphasized her commitment to serve the constituents of Mandi, stating her optimism about achieving success in politics akin to her accomplishments in Bollywood. She highlighted the progress made by women in Mandi across various sectors, underscoring the shift from earlier challenges like female foeticide to women's empowerment in fields such as the military, education, and politics.

Kangana's mother expressed confidence in her victory, citing her track record of service to the people. Meanwhile, Rangoli extended her best wishes for Kangana's new venture into politics. Facing stiff competition from Congress heavyweight Vikramaditya Singh, Kangana embarks on her political journey with determination.

Amidst her political aspirations, Kangana's upcoming film "Emergency," where she also serves as the director, awaits release. Scheduled for June 14, the film delves into the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with Kangana portraying the titular role. Alongside Anupam Kher and other notable actors, "Emergency" promises to captivate audiences with its portrayal of historical events.
