She  announced the passing of her father, Joseph Prabhu, on Friday, sharing a heartfelt post on social media with the caption, “Until we meet again, Dad 💔.” 

The cause of his death remains unknown. Samantha has previously spoken about her relationship with her father, reflecting on how his critical remarks during her childhood shaped her journey of self-discovery and resilience. On the work front, Samantha’s recent project, Citadel: Honey Bunny, alongside Varun Dhawan and directed by Raj and DK, continues to earn global praise. Fans have expressed their condolences and support for Samantha during this time.
