Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' to release this Diwali

Rajinikanth, one of the most powerful actors in the South, has consistently proven his box office prowess. His next film, Vettaiyan, is set to release in theatres this October.
Initially, it was expected to clash with Suriya's Kanguva, which is slated for an October 10 release. However, Kanguva producer KE Gnanavel Raja has confirmed that the Suriya starrer will not compete with Vettaiyan. He stated that he is both emotionally and professionally unprepared for a release alongside a Rajinikanth film. This indirect confirmation suggests that Vettaiyan will hit theatres this Diwali, though an official announcement is still awaited.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan features Rajinikanth in the lead role, alongside a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, and Rakshan.
On the other hand, Vidaamuyarchi is reported to be a suspense thriller, marking Ajith's first collaboration with director Magizh Thirumeni. With both films promising to be major releases, this Diwali could witness an exciting box office battle between Rajinikanth and Ajith.
