Kalki AD 2898 is set for a global release tomorrow morning

The highly anticipated pan-Indian film "Kalki AD 2898" is set for a global release tomorrow morning. This mythological science fiction film, directed by Nag Ashwin, is performing exceptionally well in pre-sales, having grossed over Rs 20 crore in advance ticket bookings in India.

 The film has sold more than a million tickets in the US and over 2,000 tickets in India.


In Andhra Pradesh, the government has approved a ticket price hike, and in Mumbai, IMAX theaters are charging a staggering Rs 2300 per ticket for the first day. The film will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and English, with advance bookings available in major cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and New Delhi.


Ticket prices vary significantly across different venues. Single-screen theaters are selling tickets between Rs 100 and Rs 150, while multiplexes charge between Rs 250 and Rs 400. However, the highest price was noted in Mumbai's IMAX theaters at Rs 2300, reflecting the premium experience offered by IMAX in terms of visualization and audio quality.


"Kalki AD 2898" is set in a post-apocalyptic world and centers around the birth of Lord Vishnu's 10th avatar, Kalki, who ends the sufferings of people in Kali Yuga. The star-studded cast includes Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, with music composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film's mix of mythological themes and futuristic elements has generated significant buzz and anticipation among fans.
